Today is God's day!

From the moment we know a child is on the way, we start planning for their life.  We feel a range of emotions that we never knew were possible as we consider the possibilities.  The highs and lows of life as a parent can lift us to the mountaintop or drag us to the bottom of the deepest ocean valley.  But through it all, we have the power of the Spirit to guide us and help us, and it is enough.

Each day is a new opportunity to be the parent God wants us to be.  Whether we did the job right yesterday or we failed utterly, today is a fresh start.  In Psalm 118 verse 24, we sing,

"This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

These precious words remind us that no matter what has come before, today is God's day, and it is a new start.

Enjoy this very special day as we celebrate the wonder of motherhood.  Today truly is the Lord's day.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
